Hello, my name is Megan, and this is how House of Lombardi came to be:

It all started when…

My father’s grandfather has been a great inspiration for me and starting a business. He traveled through the Alps as a child and was discovered by monks who took him in and trained him in many skills, one of which being tailoring. When he was old enough and met his wife who was French, they both opened a tailoring business. He then went on to have many businesses in bricks, marble, and farming which brought him to Cape Town, South Africa. He invented Appetizer (a very popular South African drink) and had a successful farming career. These entrepreneurial skills have been passed down many generations and I am now trying my hand at it.

I am 23 years old and started House of Lombardi end of 2019 but it really took flight in 2020 during the peak of Covid-19 which taught me a lot about adaptation.

I studied fashion design in the heart of Cape Town and always knew I would start my own business. I used the money I saved waitressing and began selling face masks during the pandemic. That gave me the capital I needed to launch my first line of clothing. Since starting, the image of House Of Lombardi has changed a lot and I see it constantly evolving as I grow.

Being a small business and believing that slow, high-quality fashion is the future is at the core of House of Lombardi’s values.

I believe clothes should fit you, you shouldn’t try to fit your clothes. House of Lombardi is all about customizing and creating a piece that really represents the wearer and fits like a dream.
