Started in 2010 by founder, Debbie-Lee Rossouw, Made With Love is a brand that’s passionate about celebrating women in all their authenticity and diversity – each piece is carefully crafted to flatter all ages, shapes and sizes. With our ready-to-wear brand and relaxed fits we strive for simplicity and sustainability without compromising on style.
We are inspired by nature and beautiful and unique prints make our heart pitter-patter. The mission of our in-house team, based in Cape Town, is to draw from this inspiration to create ranges that will make you feel at your most comfortable whilst looking your most fabulous. And to reflect in every step of our process – from design, production and shipping – our company’s main ingredient: Love, of course.
OUR STORY
In 2010 Debbie-Lee Rossouw found herself freshly graduated with a degree from Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design. She was eager to enter the world of fashion and travelled to London for a year. Alas, no opportunity in the corporate world felt quite right and upon her return to Cape Town she decided to start her own company – and happily, this proved to be a perfect fit.
With Made With Love Debbie-Lee finally had the chance to build a brand that reflected who she was – easy-going and relaxed with a positive outlook on life and a passion for nature and travelling.
Starting a business is no simple task but with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears Made With Love has expanded from a very small range and only stocking a handful of boutiques to supplying wholesale and finally launching the online store. Whilst keeping the ranges small, unique and very limited.
Throughout her journey, Debbie-Lee’s parents have been her biggest pillars of strength and her guiding light. They have taught her many valuable life lessons along the way, like patience and perseverance. It is these values – along with her inborn creativity, compassion and positivity – that Debbie-Lee pours into each aspect of her business. She remains committed to growing and expanding her company and strives to ensure that Made With Love goes from strength to strength.
